Cabot Coast is located at 2581 Shore Road, less than 10 minutes from the world renowned Cabot Trail on Cape Breton Island. This 185-mile (298-kilometer) trail loops around the northern part of Cape Breton Island, climbing mountains and passing small villages, leading you to stunning beauty at every turn.
Our cottages are located approximately 20 minutes from neighbouring town, Inverness, 1.5 hours to Port Hawkesbury and under 2 hours from Sydney.

The Halifax Airport
Get on NS-102 – 3 min (2.4km). Continue to Port Hastings – 2 hr 13 min (232 km)/ Continue on Trans-Canada Hwy. Take NS – 395 N to Shore Rd/NS – 219 E in Margaree – 1 hr 18 min (107 km). Cabot Coast will be on your left (2581 Shore Rd, Inverness, NS B0E 1N0).

The Newfoundland Ferry
Head southwest on Prince St. toward Blowers St/NS – 305 S. Turn right at the 1st cross street onto Blowers Sr/NS – 305 N. Turn right at the 1st cross onto Pleasent St/NS – 305 N. Turn left to merge onto Trans-Canada Hwy/NS 105 W (66.1km). turn right onto Cabot Trail Rd/NS-30 (signs for Trans-Canada Hwy/NS – 105 E/Baddeck, 52.4km). Turn left onto Shore Rd./NS – 219 W (signs for Margaree Harbour/Saint Rose/Dunvegan, 7.3km). Cabot Coast will be on your right (2581 Shore Rd. Inverness, NS B0E 1N0).

The Cliffside Cottage was clean and offered everything as described in the listing! The owners were very prompt to reply with communication and a complimentary bottle of Nova Scotia wine was provided which is always a positive in my book! The views of the ocean and cliffside were stunning as could be expected! Would definitely visit again or one of the other property’s cottages!

The Lighthouse is absolutely amazing, the bed is very comfortable and the view is outstanding, especially for the sunset. You can only see trees and the ocean from the property and it feels like you’re all alone on the trail, highly recommend this place!! The owners were very welcoming and super hospitable, dropped off a bottle of wine when I checked in. Amazing experience!

Our stay at the octagon was wonderful! The owners were very accommodating when it came to check-in and check-out. The views are world-class and the pictures do not do this place justice! There were thoughtful touches such as beach chairs, rain ponchos, board games, and some other great bonus finds that made us feel at home. And did I mention the view!?
